This is an original production cel and background setup from the Walt Disney Studios production of two 1950s cartoons. This setup features a hand-painted cel of Pluto licking Donald's face in excitement and a hand-painted production background featuring a interior view of a 1950s style hallway. The cel was used in the production of the 1950s television series "Walt Disney Presents." The hand-painted cel is an actual frame of animation that appears near the end of the episode "This is Your Life, Donald Duck." The cel and background are not matching and likely are not from the same film, but were paired together due to how well they imagery registers to each other. Both pieces were created at the studio and used during production, representing actual imagery was photographed for cartoons. The overall measurements of the piece are 11" x 14"" matted with the mat opening measuring 7.5" x 9.5" and the image itself measures 4.5" x 6.5" on the cel. The setup is in very good condition.
