An original production cel from the Hanna Barbera Studios animated series, Jonny Quest (1964-1987). Featuring the henchman Ali, just before he is attacked by the Maharajah's pet tiger, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode entitled "Riddle of the Gold" which aired on October 16, 1964. The hand-painted production background the cel is paired with is not from Jonny Quest but likely another Hanna Barbera cartoon (possibly Touche Turtle). This was a common characteristic of setups created by the studio from this time. Measuring 10.25"x7.25" overall, with an image size of 7.25"x6.25", the cel is in very good condition with minimal line wear, paint residue and dimpling on the cel, and it is stapled at the bottom edge.
